Gurung Buddhism
The Federation of Gurung Buddhism was established in 2019 with the emphasis of maintaining Gurung Culture and Tamu Ritual. We also promote Gurung Lamas to save the Tamu Ritual.
The fact based scientific Buddhism is to be promoted among the layman and women of the world especially Nepalese people. The Buddhist text being printed in Pali, Sanskrit and Tibetan language only is to be translated into simple Nepali language for the simple understanding of the general public of Nepal especially the Gurung Community.
The culture based Buddhism is promoted among the Gurung Community because they are yet to be acquainted with pure Buddhist philosophy.
Most ladies enjoy chanting Monlam (prayer) with lyric which could be bait to attract to Budhism and Buddhist teaching.
The Gurung Buddhism is promoting PanchaShila based Buddhism to the Gurung Community which could be pacticed during the performance of the death rite.
Panchashila
- No killing or sacrifices of Animal or any living being
- No stealing. Not to take anything which is not given or asked.
- Not to practice sexual misconduct. Not to be attracted to other's wife or husband.
- No lying to other.
- No misused of drug or refrain from intoxicating item like tobacco and alcohol.
